Hi, I’m Sam.
For the past 6 years I’ve been working as a promotions and advertisement photographer and videographer, doing a lot of things with cameras. But over the last year, like everyone else, I’ve seen a lot of things change around me.
It wasn’t until I attended the wedding of two close friends, that I realised how much social distancing rules really affected the bride and groom’s day. With a very limited guest lists and stringent venue rules, getting the photos to commemorate and remember the special day was always going to be a big task and potentially a very costly one for the newlyweds.
As a wedding gift I offered to take a few photos around the city of Manchester with the couple, and this sparked off my new fascination of capturing the moments that matter. It’s truly an honour to be there to experience the first moments with a couple who have just professed their love for one and other.
So, I’ve decided to enter the world of wedding photography. I think everyone deserves to feel special and have photos to remember the day and help them include the guests we wish could be there with us.
My three mantras as a wedding photographer are to be:
Affordable: Everyone deserves access to a photographer
Available: Sometimes only short notice can be given and that’s ok
Fun: Taking photos should add to the special day, not become a chore
