Last year, I spent a morning with the team at Persuasive Marketing, capturing some fresh images for their campaigns.

It was a great shoot — relaxed, creative, and full of energy. Always a pleasure working with passionate small businesses and helping them bring their brand to life through photography.

🏃‍♂️ The Great North Run 2025 🎥📸

What an incredible day at this year’s Great North Run! I had the privilege of photographing the event for Diabetes UK, capturing some of the amazing moments from their incredible team of runners.

The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing — full of energy, emotion, and determination. Seeing so many people come together to support such an important cause was genuinely inspiring.

It’s always a joy to be part of events like this. Already looking forward to doing it all again next year! 🙌

🏃‍♂️ The Great North Run 2025 🎥📸

Another Great North Run done and dusted — and what a fantastic year it was!

I really enjoy covering these events. The atmosphere, the energy, the sheer determination of the runners… it’s infectious.

It’s always inspiring to see so many people come together, each with their own story and raising money for such worthy causes.

An incredible event to be part of once again. Roll on the next one! 🙌

Chasing the light at the Ickworth Sunset Chase 🏃‍♂️📸

I photograph a number of large running events each year — The London Marathon, The Great North Run, London Landmarks, and plenty more — but this one was a first for me.

Raw Trails Events got in touch about covering the Ickworth Sunset Chase, a stunning run in the heart of Suffolk. The only catch? It gets really dark…

Our solution? A trusty battery-powered light.
Genius, I know 😅

It was a fun one to cover and a great addition to the list of fantastic running events I’ve been lucky enough to shoot.

A bit of flexibility behind the lens 🎥📸

I was shooting video recently for local estate agent Benechos Estate Agents, when the client asked if I could also grab some headshots. No problem at all — I switched from video to photo and created exactly what they needed.

Sometimes shoots evolve on the day, and being flexible is part of the job — something I’m always happy to do.

People don't always ask me if I shoot weddings, I actually do, I just don't talk about that side of the business.

Here's a recent shot from a wedding I did with a friend who was on video duties.

📸 A wedding in Colchester!

This one was a little different for me — a good friend asked if I could take care of the photography while she handled the video, and of course, I said yes! So for once, I went in knowing very little about the day.

The couple were absolutely lovely, with a brilliant fusion of the North East and Northern Ireland, all set at a stunning golf club in Colchester. ⛳️💍

It was a full day of laughter, emotion, and some seriously good craic! Not leading for once felt strange, but it was great to focus purely on capturing those genuine, in-between moments that make a wedding so special.

This year I’ve been trying to say “yes” to more things — even the slightly unexpected ones.

That’s how I ended up at a dog show.
Not my usual scene, but definitely an experience… full of wagging tails, excitable owners, and more poodles than I’ve seen in one place before.

Had to hand the camera over to Josh for this one (he’s much better at chasing terriers with a lens than I am).
Still — no regrets. It’s all part of the adventure.

Looking back at this year’s London Marathon — what a day.

As a photographer, there are logistically easier events to shoot, sure. Access to the course is tricky, and you're always on your toes trying to find the best angles.

But would I ever skip it? Absolutely not. The atmosphere, the energy, the stories playing out with every step — it’s electric.

One day I might run it myself… but I’d need to figure out how to shoot and run at the same time. GoPros and a lot of hope, maybe?

Until then, I’ll stick to doing what I love — capturing the moments from the sidelines.

Back on duty for Diabetes UK — this time at London Landmarks 2025.

This one’s a personal favourite. Why? It’s all about access. Unlike many other events, London Landmarks allows you right up close to the action — no barriers, no awkward distance, just real, powerful moments through the lens.

That access means better shots, more emotion, and storytelling that hits harder.

I always love covering these events — the energy, the people, the cause. And if more opportunities like this come up… I’m all in.

Simple headshots? Not quite.

We were working with the team at G & S Garage Doors in Great Yarmouth recently — and while headshots were definitely on the list, it quickly turned into a full content shoot.

We captured professional team photos to give their clients a friendly face to expect on install day, and created a load of video content to showcase what they do best. From electric garage doors to aluminium front doors, commercial roller shutters to maintenance contracts — G & S handle it all across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Keep an eye on their socials — there’s plenty of fresh content coming their way. Great team, great business, and a pleasure to work with.
