Some game this one! The Pitching In Northern Premier League action with Clitheroe Football Club hosting Chasetown Football Club at the Loom Loft, Barrow, Clitheroe Stadium this afternoon and taking a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Chasetown rallied though and came back to level in the second half, their second goal coming from the penalty spot before the Blues eventually wrapped up a 3-2 victory late in the game. A gripping game.
Next up for Clitheroe is a trip to Mossley on Tuesday evening where the Blues will welcome and appreciate all support (kickoff 7:45pm, Seel Park, Market Street, Mossley, Lancashire, OL5 OES)

Tuesday night football action from the The Pitching In Northern Premier League as Clitheroe Football Club hosted Stalybridge Celtic at the Loom Loft, Barrow, Clitheroe Stadium. A really good game on a chilly evening saw the Blues come from behind at the break to run out 2-1 winners and pick up their first three points of the season.

Next up is a trip to early season league leaders Shifnal Town on bank holiday Monday for what promises to be another great game.

The opening match of the The Pitching In Northern Premier League season for Clitheroe Football Club at the Loom Loft, Barrow, Clitheroe Stadium. The evening began with a presentation to Blues player Ross Dent to mark his 350th appearance for the club, followed by a minutes applause in recognition of Mr John Moore, the chairman of the evenings opponents Lower Breck who sadly passed away recently.

The match also marked the inauguration of the new floodlight system at the ground. However, despite dominating the match and creating a whole lot of goalscoring opportunities, Clitheroe couldn't finish the large number of clear chances and were made to pay when they conceded early in the second half, eventually losing 1-0. On another night they would have had a bagful of goals and gained the three points the evenings performance deserved.

The opening day of the new East Lancashire Football League season and a few shots from an enthralling match at the Accrington Stanley Sports Hub where Rimington Football Club came from behind to beat Enfield FC 3-2. Absolutely fantastic to catch up again with some old faces, and meet lots of new faces......but we won't mention how I ended up being dumped on my arse by a wayward clearance at one point 😁.
As always a huge thank you to the boys at Enfield FC for allowing me to shoot on behalf of both sides, and looking forward to seeing you again at some point this season - class club 🙏👌.
