“Seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness “ wrote the poet John Keats in his Ode to Autumn. I remember studying it for A level English many years ago at the start of the autumn term, fresh after completing my GCSEs, and feeling the hope of a fresh start in September, on the pathway towards getting into university. I still see the end of summer (summer has never been my thing) as a new beginning, the start to r more productive times. The long summer finally yielding the food necessary for the months to come.
