The woman behind the brand.
20 years in sales and marketing, several different career chapters, and a lot of lessons about what actually makes a business grow.
This is the bit you don’t usually see behind the brand.
It started with sales, lead generation and learning how businesses actually win customers.
Long before I was talking about brand strategy, I was learning the commercial side of business.
How to find the right people. How to start conversations. How to turn attention into opportunity.
That experience has shaped everything I do now, it’s also when I first started taking an interest in photography.
Then came the corporate years.
Huge targets, campaigns, events, exhibitions, senior stakeholders. and big rooms with big expectations.
It taught me how to operate commercially, think strategically and understand that marketing is only valuable when it contributes to the bigger picture.
Then came the corporate years.
Meanwhile I was building something of my own.
I was studying around work; having a strong commercial mind was really important to me.
Freelancing became a business, in plenty of different fonts and flavours at first.
That ultimately became Your Brand Lab.
Then came Your Content Lab, Your Social Lab, collaborations including YourBrandLab x Shh PR, events, workshops, speaking, awards and a much bigger vision for what this could become.
And that’s where the pieces started to make sense.
20 years in sales and marketing. 100+ businesses. Millions £££ generated. Millions reached. And somehow, this is only the beginning.
I’ve worked across a lot of industries, in a lot of different roles and in a lot of different environments.
I’ve worked in sales, lead generation, marketing, events, corporate, freelancing and now, business ownership. I’ve worked with tiny businesses figuring out where to start and organisations with huge targets, budgets and audiences.
And somewhere along the way, I realised something.
Businesses don’t need more marketing for the sake of doing more marketing.
They need the right things working together.
That’s why I created Your Brand Lab.
Not as another agency offering a list of disconnected services, but as an
