Andrew Richardson Photography

Andrew Richardson Photography Photography is my hobby and currently I use this page to upload photographs I take on my various adventures all over the place!

My name is Andrew Richardson, and Photography has been my passion for many years. From when I was first given my first camera to my modern kit, I have been unable to put the camera down. What keeps me inspired and driven to keep photographing, is when you take that one shot that just works, where the conditions are just perfect and you are the right place at the right time. It is one of the most a

mazing feelings possible, and I get such joy from it. Currently I'm only running the page for me to display my photographs that I've taken, and currently I make no money from photography. However, I am looking into selling prints, but I have no plans to start this venture any time soon as it would probably involve the purchase of expensive equipment which currently I am unable to invest in.

What a night! A last-minute decision to go out to Blea Tarn at around 11pm to go and see the stars. I’ve never seen a sky so dark and clear as this one, and to add to it we even got to witness more shooting stars than I’ve ever seen in one go. I’ve always wanted to photograph the Milky Way, and while it wasn’t particularly strong last night, it was still amazing to see and photograph.

Another early morning yesterday… This time it was for a photo walk run by at the . The day started with a walk around the Kimberly mine, and then the afternoon saw us head up to the top of the mine system to where the modern workings are. It was a really interesting, but tiring day. Very much something I’d recommend doing and provides a chance to see some areas of the lakes that you wouldn’t ordinarily get to see.

Its been a while!
I've been busy for the last few months, and since I last uploaded the Instagram app on my computer decided to completely stop working.. so that's great! I'm going to try and post as often as I can again to get me back into things.
This is a photo from back in August in Zermatt from Blauherd

After a few weeks of manic editing and shooting, I can now release my first short film "Everything Now." I'll be honest I had hoped to shoot some more for the film but it just didn't end up being possible. I've shot short films before but this is my first totally solo film. I hope you enjoy ☺️

A photo very similar to one I uploaded early last year, this is the range of mountains to the East of the Matterhorn. I think this is my favourite formation of peaks in the Zermatt area, I feel they sit in frame so well.

All joking apart, I had an amazing time over new year, spending time with my girlfriend in Newcastle. Having never been, the obligatory trip down the quayside was in order and while it’s an image that’s been done to death I’m still very happy with it!

My top nine for 2018. Thanks to everyone who's been a part of it 🙂I hope everyone has a happy new year, and I'll see you...
