Not every love story in front of my camera is a real wedding - but every now and then, something just as special comes along.

This beautifully staged training ceremony was created to give celebrant Sam the opportunity to practise and showcase her skills as part of her celebrant training.

While the couple were acting their roles, the warmth, care, and emotion that Sam brought to the ceremony were all completely genuine. 💞

Sam has a beautiful way with words, and the thought and feeling she poured into every part of the service made it incredibly touching. It was a wonderful reminder that the power of a ceremony comes not only from the people standing at the front, but from the stories and sentiments that are created through the celebrant’s craft.

Photographing Live Theatre - Performing Arts,
Bethany School, Kent

🎞️ 🎭 ✨

It was an absolute joy to photograph this wonderful production of Shrek the Musical - Pengelly Performance Centre Theatre.

The level of talent on stage was outstanding - from powerful vocals to emotive acting and dance performances.

Congratulations all round to the Bethany drama, music and dance students as well as the student technical and costume teams for bringing so much character, humour and atmosphere to every scene. 🎬💡💻

From a photography perspective, it was a fun challenge too - working with low light and constantly changing one-off moments really kept me on my toes! 👣
But that’s all part of capturing the thrill of live theatre.

It was an absolute joy to see Parker & Son’s heritage build work in action with their care taken to restore to the Brew House roof at National Trust Scotney Castle.

Incredible to see the team working safely at height, bringing the building back to its former glory - and so nice for me to be able to document this for them. 🎞️
