Well what a way to spend a Saturday, back out again with capturing the day for their charter guests. The day started early watching the clipper fleet procession enter back into Portsmouth harbour with a short break for lunch on a mooring buoy before returning back into the Solent to watch the first day of Sail GP.

So we have been a little quiet lately due to a personal project in progress but today we’ve been out on the water for capturing footage, including their new addition to the fleet as we passed each other entering Portsmouth harbour. Today’s main fun was out on their ribcraft 6.8m

Last week whilst we captured HMS Dragon in the harbour we also managed to capture a Brittany totally disappearing through the fog as it left the harbour ⛴️.

Yesterday even with the high wind we managed to capture some footage of HMS Dragon leaving Portsmouth harbour, What a sight to see. It was a last minute decision to head down to watch due to the winds but as ever the drone performed outstandingly, filming at 7x zoom to ensure we kept our distance from the craft and the two helicopters circling.

Yesterday ended up being a late one to watch/film HMS Dragon being taken by tug from dry dock C across to the UHAF in Portsmouth harbour. Even had a cheeky photobomb by a Brittany ferry in the background.

Sadly Facebook only allows one video at a time so enjoy this one for now.

So whilst our socials have been quiet for the past few weeks with the weather stopping play, that doesn’t mean we haven’t still been busy with other things. This year we have heavily invested in lots of new kit which thankfully can all integrate with each other, meaning we can fully control the gimbal via WiFi/BT with either the phone or iPad. We can also now transmit live from the camera to any WiFi/BT device whilst filming - giving us instance access to the footage we capture on the ground!

First we have upgraded our camera to the canon R7 with several lens, to help capture incredible moments in sharper higher quality.

The iPad Air 11” 2025, capable of editing on the go, streaming footage or controlling the gimbal.

Dji mic 3 bundle kit, sound quality is key for videos and these are designed for making our video sound quality even better.

And finally the Dji Ronin RSC2 PRO gimbal, used to ensure all video and photos can be captured with the best quality possible.
