I think a lot of mums put off booking family photos because they imagine stress.

“What if the kids don’t behave?”
“What if my partner hates it?”
“What if nobody smiles?”
“What if it feels awkward?”

And honestly? I get it.

But the funny thing is… the sessions where children are running wild, climbing all over you, refusing to stand still, or wanting one more cuddle are usually the sessions families end up loving the most.

Because that’s your family.

Not perfectly posed.
Not performing for a camera.
Just loving each other in your own beautifully chaotic way.

I don’t expect your children to sit quietly and smile at me for an hour. I want the giggles, the movement, the cuddles, the hand holding, the little personalities that make this season yours.

One day, these photographs won’t matter because everything looked perfect.

They’ll matter because everything was real 🤍

Sometimes I think about how unexpected this whole journey has been.

I went from mortgage advice…
to photographing newborn babies, emotional mothers and moments people will treasure forever.

And somehow, this feels more me than anything ever has.

I didn’t build this business by having everything figured out.
I just followed the part that made me feel something.

The emotion.
The storytelling.
The nostalgia photographs hold.

And over time, that love quietly became a business I genuinely adore.

But lately, another dream has been sitting on my heart.

Teaching.

Small groups of photographers.
Creating beautiful imagery together.
Helping people find confidence in their work instead of trying to copy everyone else online.

I can picture it so clearly sometimes.
Countryside houses, long conversations, wine after shooting, people leaving feeling inspired and creatively full again.

It feels so beautiful in my head.
Like something I’m meant to do one day.

And then the self doubt creeps in…
“who are you to teach?”
“would anyone even want to learn from you?”

So maybe this is me saying the dream out loud for the first time instead of keeping it inside my own head.

Because honestly… if I did create workshops one day, would anyone actually want to come and learn from me? 🤍
