Sometimes all it takes is one curious glance to create a photograph you’ll never forget. 🐧🧡
With its colourful bill and unmistakable character, this Atlantic Puffin paused just long enough for a quiet moment before disappearing back to its busy day on the cliffs. It’s encounters like these that remind me why wildlife photography is so rewarding not just for the images we bring home, but for the privilege of witnessing nature on its own terms.
Captured on the spectacular Farne Islands, one of the UK’s most important seabird sanctuaries, this incredible place comes alive each spring and summer as thousands of puffins, guillemots, razorbills, Arctic terns and other seabirds return to breed. Thanks to the dedicated conservation work carried out by the National Trust and their rangers, these islands remain a vital refuge for wildlife and a truly unforgettable destination for nature lovers and photographers alike.
