The Reflected Castle

Dunrobin Castle. This was not meant to be a stop on our journey that day but lucky we did as we were welcomed by (mostly) blue skies and nice afternoon light. By no means a "hidden gem" as it's a stop on the NC500 but one that we weren't familiar with prior. Definitely recommend stopping and having a look around if you're in the area - entry to the grounds is free but you'll need to pay to go inside.

The Peek-a-Boo Puffin

These little guys are the absolute best. Taken on a recent trip to Pembrokeshire, I spent the day walking around Skomer Island watching them. They are fascinating! Such great personalities and brilliant weather to match.

Achmelvich Bay. Continuing with our trip around the north of Scotland we stopped in here along the way. We were lucky as the clouds came in not long after we were there. Very lucky to get an (almost) cloudless shot of this amazing little cottage.

Ullapool morning. We had an overnight in Ullapool during our trip around Scotland last year. We were lucky to get some great conditions for sunrise as I hope you would agree. Check my stories shortly for some additional shots from the morning.

St Paul's at Christmas. Not quite the Christmas we were expecting this year but you have to make the best of things. Taken a few weeks back when we were still allowed out.

Be merry, stay safe.

Talisker Bay, Isle of Skye. We forced ourselves to get out despite the fairly ridiculous incliment weather. Sideways rain and winds (which later on bent our car door) but ultimately worth it to see the bay and get some interesting shots. Not sure my camera appreciated the experience though.

The Quiraing. What a walk this turned out to be. After making it to the half way point and reaching the ridge to make the summit, the wind really kicked up and weather started coming in. Ignoring our better judgement we pushed on to reach the cairn, quickly took a clouded photo and started the descent. This was taken on the way back down after clearing the cloud. So many amazing rock formations and views along the way, would love to go back in different conditions.

The Old Man of Storr pre-dawn. No spectacular sunrise for us unfortunately but the cloud made for a slightly surreal experience. It's a shame we didn't have enough time to explore properly but it was great to see them again (first time since 2007).

My version of the Glenfinnan Viaduct with the Jacobite steam train. Taken at the start of a trip around Scotland a couple of weeks back. Only just made it! Top tip for anyone looking to go watch - get there early as the carpark is small!

A few early morning photos from my trip through Liverpool. It was an exciting opportunity to experiment and explore different parts of the city I haven't been to before.
