🌿✨ This week, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Sonnie and her gorgeous girls back to my cosy garden studio in Woodside, Glenrothes, for a beautiful family photo session. 💕📸

What a joy this session was! These lovely ladies were so natural in front of the camera, and Sonnie came with a clear vision of exactly what she wanted to create—which I absolutely love. 🥰

Eye colour is passed down through genetics, but it's actually much more complex than many people think. Multiple genes influence the colour, pattern and details within our irises, which is why family members can share similar features while still having completely unique eyes. It's one of my favourite things about iris photography — no two irises are ever exactly the same. ✨

🎓✨ My new backdrop arrived just in time for a full day of School & Nursery Graduation Sessions this Saturday! ✨🎓

I absolutely love how bright, colourful and fun it is! 🌈💕 My wee man popped out to the studio so I could give you all a little sneak peek. 📸

It still needs a wee iron and I've got a few more props to add, but I couldn't wait to show it off! 😍

This is just one part of the graduation experience too. I'll also have a digital-themed setup and a classic plain background, giving you lots of variety in your gallery. ✨

One of my favourite things about Iris Photography is when clients bring a specific vision of what they'd like to create. It gives me the opportunity to try something different, get creative, and design a truly personal piece of art. 🎨✨

✨ Julie and Stevie came along for their iris session the other week, and just look at those beautiful eyes! 👁️💙🤎

One of the things I love most about iris photography is seeing how different everyone's eyes are, even within the same family. Eye colour is influenced by genetics, but it's not as simple as inheriting one colour from each parent. Multiple genes play a role, which is why family members can have completely different shades and patterns. 🌿✨

I especially love the contrast between Julie and Stevie's irises in this piece. The clash of colours and unique details really make each eye stand out, creating a stunning piece of artwork. Adding names is always a lovely touch too, making it easy to see who's who while creating a truly personal keepsake. 💕

Every iris tells its own story, and no two are ever the same. ✨

✨ I've got so many beautiful iris artwork pieces to share with you! ✨

Keeping up with posting them all while juggling 4 kids and decorating the house is a challenge 😅🏡, but I absolutely love my iris sessions. I'm completely obsessed with people's eyes and all the incredible colours, details and sparkle they hold 👁️✨

A few weeks ago, Colin brought his daughter along for their sessions, and they both love how their artwork turned out — as do I! 💕 Colin has even had his turned into wall art 🖼️, which always makes me smile. He originally booked after seeing a friend's post about their daughter's iris artwork, and that's exactly why word of mouth means so much to me.

Every share, recommendation and tag helps my little business grow, and I'm so grateful for every bit of support. 🫶✨
