An Autumnal afternoon by the River Clyde in Glasgow. Some random photos taken from Richmond Park along the river to Glasgow Green and the Weir. There are always great views in this area and some people enjoying their hobbies.

A random selection of photos from my first walk about in Glasgow City Centre for around a year. The city is gradually coming back to life after the pandemic, albeit with a number of empty shops. The Duke didn’t a have a cone today but I don’t think that it will be long before he is back to his normal self!

Christmas is nearly here and COVID-19 is still impacting everything we can and can’t do. I my case this is the first time in many years I haven’t been in Glasgow City Centre to see and photo the Christmas lights. However I had chosen a selection of photos from a number of previous years showing Glasgow at its Christmas best. I hope you enjoy these and hopefully the New Year will bring back more normal times and I can start to gather more photos of Glasgow to share with you.
Have as good a Christmas and New Year as you can manage and stay safe.

It’s hard to believe that yesterday was my first visit to Glasgow Green and this stretch of the Clyde this year. Before moving and lockdown I was here nearly every day taking photos of familiar views. I was good to be back and even though the river wasn’t great for reflections I managed to get a few photos that I hope you will enjoy.

It’s been nearly four months since I got the chance to post some new random photos. Lockdown has stopped me from getting out and taking many photos. I now have a few that I hope you might like.

I can’t get out to take photos in Glasgow at present. However I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy an occasional walk in Greenhall Park which is only a few minutes walk from our house. On Wednesday I took my compact camera with me and grabbed a few photos as I got some exercise. The landscape and the river we’re looking stunning in the Spring sunshine.

With no opportunity to be out and about taking new photos I have been looking back through my collection of photos taken in Glasgow over the last few years. My clear favourite city centre attraction is the I-cone-ic Duke with his trade mark Cone The symbol of Glasgow humour he has had many varying looks over the years. These are my top 50 Duke photos.
I hope these cheer you up in these troubled times.

( I realise that a small number of people don’t like/approve of the cone. If so please ignore this post)
