The Glasgow Gallery of Photography

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography A space where people can go to see photography from local
photographers as well as international work.

Photography Gallery and community Interest company
Exhibition space and monthly photography exhibitions
High Street Gallery, 279-281 High Street, Wed-Sat 12-4
Opening days/times during exhibitions only The Glasgow Gallery of Photography was set up in 2015 by a group of
Glasgow photographers with the plans to create a Gallery dedicated to
photography in Glasgow. A space where photographers and peo

ple interesting in photography
can go and get a coffee and hang out and read photography books and
magazines, A gallery that is open to everyone who wishes to exhibit
their work. That plan is some way off, so in the mean time we want to try and
create awareness of the project by giving photographers an outlet
to show there work free of charge and publish it in an online magazine. Photographers will also be able to submit their work and have it exhibted
in our online gallery. We will also be running online competitions to help raise money towards
the gallery and holding other photography events that everyone can get
involved in.

We have an announcement regarding our participation fees moving forward.

We have kept the participation fee for our exhibitions at £48 for the last 4 years. We have resisted increasing the fee to make it as affordable as possible for our participants to take part in our exhibitions while covering the gallery’s running costs.

Like everyone knows the cost of everything is rising and our running costs are no exception. While we have resisted increasing our participant fee for as long as we possible could, we now find ourself in the position were we have had to make the decision to raise the price of our participation fee from £48 to £50.

We have tried to make the increase as small as possible in order to make participation affordable while helping us cover our increasing costs.

This increase will not happen right away. This increase will come into force starting with the open call for our January 2027 exhibitions, which will open 24th August and have a payment deadline of 7th October.

We are making this announcement now to give those of you who regularly participate in our exhibitions advance warning of this increase so that it doesn’t come out of the blue.

We hope that you will understand our situation and that this decision wasn’t taken lightly. We also hope that this fee increase doesn’t put you off from continuing to participate in our exhibitions.

We truly appreciation all those that take part in our exhibitions and do not take your support for granted.

Wishing you all the best, and grateful for your continued support,

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography Team
