We are raising money to help with the costs of staging the Ayr College HND Photography Exhibition in May. This exhibition showcases the art of all the 2025/6 HND Students and gives the public an opportunity to see their work displayed at the Grain Exchange, Ayr for a week in May. any donation you make will go to covering the costs of venue hire and materials etc. We would, of course, be delighted to see you there.

HAPPY BURNS NIGHT🧡💙

Fun fact: Irn-Bru has famously outsold Coca-Cola in Scotland, making it less a soft drink and more a cultural marker.

Created for Robert Burns Night, this shoot takes inspiration from a celebration that honours Scotland’s national poet through poetry, music, and shared ritual. Rather than recreating tradition, the work reframes it using familiar symbols to explore identity, humour, and modern Scottish culture.

As a Scottish photographer, this project is rooted in pride and perspective. Tartan and Irn-Bru appear not as novelty, but as visual shorthand: recognisable, bold, and quietly irreverent.
