C9 1 - 1 Glasgow Titans
Everyone at Glasgow Titans Football Club passes their deepest sympathies onto the Gibbons family after the tragic loss of much loved FFIT member Gregor Gibbons this week.
Some of the members here at Glasgow Titans have played with and against Gregor and known him a very long time, even from High School in my case. Club Member John Drybrough, having played with Gregor and known him a long time from going to watch Rangers, asked to pull on the black armband in respect to Gregor, and the rest of the club did not hesitate to follow suit. We started the fixture off with a minutes silence to pay respect Gregor and his family at this incredibly difficult time.
Our match was played in the usual manner in a fairly even match, both goals coming in the first half. Our goal came from the spot which was predetermined to be from John himself due to his MOTM performance last week vs Hibs, and very fittingly, stepped up and put the ball away to draw level. The rest of the match was fought evenly and with incredible effort, none more so than Carlos Blanco who was named our Prepped and Fresh healthy options man of the match.
The Titans now enter a break period of 2 weeks where we will have light training before our pre-season training begins on August 14th.
