George Square Statues: Conservation & Restoration

From closed door crane lifts and the start of the the in-situ repair of Sir Walter Scott’s statue in George Square to conservation studios far from public view, we’ve been privileged to photograph moments most people will never see. Delighted to see one of our images being used in Joanna Moorhead’s article in The Guardian this week.
commissioned by and produced by brought thousands of participants together on the highest peaks of the four nations to experience the amazing landscapes at dusk and create a mass art installation with light.  Alan was invited to photograph the Ben Nevis event from the viewpoint of Lochan Meall an t-Suidhe (The Halfway Lochan) while the BBC filmed the performance for a special edition of which you can see this Sunday, 30th October at 5:20pm. Luckily Alan and his assistant, Roy are experienced hillwalkers and so lugging kit up and down the highest peak in Scotland in the dark was right up their, er...mountain!
