I created these images during a portrait workshop at Space Eight Studio, during my HND. This was a fantastic space to practice and experiment, with an amazing photographer to help and guide us and of course the beautiful, fabulous model 🙏

This portrait was captured in a spontaneous moment, using natural light filtered through blinds. The interplay of shadow and illumination became more than aesthetic—it became emotional architecture.

The image explores presence without narrative. There is no title, no series, no constructed symbolism—only a gaze held in quiet tension, and light acting as witness.

My practice often centres on noticing: the subtle, the fleeting, the emotionally resonant. This photograph invites viewers to pause, to feel, and to consider how light can shape not just what we see, but how we feel seen.

This series was part of my HND exploration into street-style portraiture. I wanted to challenge the idea that impactful portraits require dramatic settings or elaborate styling. Instead, I focused on everyday environments and real people—capturing presence through simplicity, texture, and trust.

The decision to shoot peers rather than strangers added a layer of familiarity and subtle tension. This wasn’t an anonymous subject- it was a fellow student, reframed through the lens. That dynamic shaped how I approached each shot: with care, curiosity, and a desire to honour their quiet power.

Two years of study—HNC, HND, and now BA Honours Degree in Photography.

A portrait of my daughter—quiet, freckled, and full of presence—has been selected for the Ethereal exhibition at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography.

To see my image framed among other atmospheric works feels like an affirmation that I am indeed on the right path.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me.

🎞️ Exploring Vintage Elegance 🎞️

As part of my final college project, I created a series of portraits inspired by timeless elegance and dramatic emotion. My goal was to draw attention to the small details of each subject, combining a vintage aesthetic with modern fine art techniques.

This photoshoot allowed me to refine my skills in lighting, composition, and post-processing—key elements in creating images that tell a story. The result? A series of striking, monochrome portraits I’m incredibly proud of.

If you’re looking for unique, artistic portraits, I’d love to bring this style to your session. Whether it’s for personal keepsakes or professional branding, I’d be thrilled to collaborate with you! 📸

Let me know what you think of this style, and feel free to share this post with anyone who might be interested in working with me! 😊

🥰 Celebrating Generations 🥰

The concept of this shoot was to show three generations of a family in one portrait. To bring this to life, I worked with fellow college students, each standing in as a member of a family.

Each photograph was taken separately, and I used Photoshop to combine the images, celebrating family and the bonds that connect us across generations.

I loved learning this technique and would love to recreate it for your family!

Excited to share a project from my college photography class! 🎓📸

Here is my recreation of a famous Platon image, inspired by his iconic portrait style. I love Platon's style of simple lighting with a plain backdrop that helps emphasise the subject, and this project was a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper into his techniques.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
