Ok so we all like to see and feel the sun shining down from a cloudless sky, but a bright sun CAN play havoc with your holiday snaps. Whether you are enjoying some sunshine at home in the UK this summer or travelling further afield, here are a few simple tips to consider when preparing to shoot.
1. Try to keep the sun at the photographers back.
2. Be prepared to move around to get the best shot.
3. Move the subjects into the shade.
4. If the sun is behind the subject (leaving their faces in the shade) use the "fill flash" setting on your camera or phone - even MY phone has a fill flash setting.
5. Take LOTS and LOTS of photos. With the magic of photoshop you cut and paste all the good bits together!

I can't believe March is almost over already - where HAS the time gone? If you are spring cleaning this year and uncover envelopes stuffed with negatives or boxes full of slides at the back of a cupboard or a drawer PLEASE don't think there is NOTHING you can do with them.

At Caledonian Digital we can scan them on to a disk or to a memory stick and get you forgotten photos as crisp and clear as the day they were taken to cherish for years.
