Sometimes enquiries come in, that instantly remind you why you do this work. 💛
Her mum asked whether I would photograph just her child and the family dog.
No adults in the frame.
Just the two of them.
She wanted something for the future. ✨
For when her daughter is older and this chapter has become a memory.
A way to hold on to the time spent with her closest companion, her dog.
It was my first shoot like this.
Only a child and a dog. 🐕
And yes, I was nervous.
I prepared carefully and thought everything through because moments like these cannot be captured casually.
The beach was empty and open.
Wind in their hair.
Sand beneath their shoes. 👣
There was space to run, to play, to move freely.
I could simply observe the bond between these two.
The trust, the closeness, the joy. 💫
Knowing that she will carry these images with her throughout her life and remember this day makes this work incredibly special.
I am grateful that I was allowed to preserve this moment for her. ☺️
