It's only taken me a year to write this - a day trip to Holy Isle, off the Isle of Arran. A very special place.

Writing up a trip from this time last year, to a traditional woollen mill on Islay. Tweeds and tartans from these humble surroundings make it as far as Savile Row and Hollywood.

A new book, called Sign Here is now available in the shop. It's the fourth in a series of photobooks - a collection of signs - old and new, from the hand-lettered and beautifully drawn, to the idiosyncratic and frankly falling-apart. This was the first book I started laying out, as I like signs and have been photographing them for years, but for some reason the other three books jumped the queue. Here are some favourites: Papa Westray, Orkney Stromness, Orkney Dalmarnock, Glasgow Wanlockhead Sign Here is £8 including UK P+P.

Sign Here by Anne Ward, an A5 photobook with 60 colour images of signs. These are signs of all kinds - elegantly hand-lettered, beautifully typeset and hastily cobbled together.
