Today I hung up my wedding waistcoat.

After 14 incredible years behind the lens, I photographed my final wedding — for the lovely Leanne and David. From my very first wedding all those years ago to now, it’s been an unforgettable journey, filled with hundreds of beautiful days, emotional vows, first dances, and so many special moments I’ve been honoured to capture.

I want to say a huge thank you to every single couple who entrusted me with their memories. It’s been a privilege to be part of your love stories — to witness them, to capture them, and to preserve them.

A special thanks today to Craig Cawkwell Photography for joining me on this final shoot — couldn’t have asked for better company for the last dance.

The build-up to today has been a rollercoaster of emotions. But my family are growing up fast, and it’s time for me to spend more weekends with them, soaking in those moments that matter most on the other side of the camera.

Here’s to new adventures — and to all the stories I’ve been lucky enough to tell.

Please meet Sophie, our amazing Young leader, who in April 2024 had emergency spinal fusion surgery in Edinburgh’s Children's Hospital to correct her worsening scoliosis.

The amazing Mr Thanos & his outstanding team provided the absolute best care for her, and her recovery is well on track 7 months on.

Since her surgery, Sophie has been determined to do something for her fellow scoliosis warriors, and has decided to raise money in order to provide other children with a little comfort at, what is likely, the toughest time of their young lives thus far as they face a recovery which would bring a tear to the eye of any hardened adult.

As such, Sophie is partnering with the amazing charity, Higgy Bears, who provide teddy bears designed to give a focus on scoliosis, surgery and bracing.

The money that is raised here will be submitted to Higgy Bears, who in turn will provide a scoliosis warrior teddy bear bag which includes a teddy bear and wrist band, all in a cute bag, one bag for every £10 raised. Sophie can then collect these and gift to the scoliosis ward at Edinburgh Children’s hospital! 😊

As a young person comes out of surgery, they will be gifted with one of these amazing scoliosis teddy bears to provide some comfort as their recovery begins.

Sophie will also be providing the hospital scoliosis team with braced teddy bears, for those little champions who live with body braces daily.

Although Sophie is fundraising through her own Just Giving Page at WellYness we would like to gift her campaign.

So in conjunction with we are running a special VIP raffle. 💚
