I am a photographer and lecturer in Photography at City of Glasgow College.

story time with Merchant City Cameras...

So as some of you may be aware there is a global shortage of micro chips. Theres many reasons for this, stuff like china still catching up with the backlog from lockdowns, the increased demand for home computers due to people working from home, and most recently the extreme shortage of neon gas thats used in chip manufacturing cos half the worlds supply of neon gas comes from Ukraine. And we know the situation there.

So this brings us to our situation... trying to get a hold of new cameras and lenses just now is not easy. It's the same with automobile industry, same with phones, laptops etc etc everything is coming through in small amounts and we feel bad everyday having to explain to folk wanting new equipment. So please bear with us in these trying times.

Thankfully yesterday we managed to get some stuff in to fill the shelves. So we have received the following:

so at least every couple of weeks we've had people asking "do you have a nikon P950"
