Choosing yourself isn’t selfish. 🫶🏻

There comes a point where you realise that not every decision has to make sense to everyone else. People will always have opinions, and it’s important to listen, but at the end of the day, you’re the one who has to live with your choices.

Trusting yourself isn’t easy, but it’s one of the most valuable things you can learn. The more I do it, the more at peace I feel with who I am and where I’m going.

That’s one of the reasons I’ve been a little quiet on here lately. I’ve been focusing on myself, recharging and getting ready for what’s ahead.

I needed some time off 🍀

The last few months have been amazing. I’ve been pushing my body, going with the flow, enjoying every opportunity, but at the same time I realised I never really stopped.

The only time I was “resting” was when my body had already reached its limit and forced me to slow down just to get back to normal. That’s not balance.

One thing I’ve learned is that I want to build a life where balance comes first. I’m still figuring out what that looks like, but every day I understand a little more about how I want to live.

I’ve also realised how important it is to surround yourself with people who let you be exactly who you are. People who don’t judge you, who don’t make you feel like you have to hold back when you’re being your weird, silly self. People who are happy to make the plans you enjoy, who genuinely listen, and who are willing to adapt too.

When you’re around people like that, adapting yourself doesn’t feel like a sacrifice anymore, it just feels natural.

Here’s to slowing down when I choose to, not only when my body has no other option. 🫶🏻

WHAT A MAN! 🦏

Es un campeón dentro y fuera de HYROX. Desde el primer día siempre me he sentido arropado por él, y con el tiempo ha dejado de ser simplemente alguien al que fotografío para convertirse en un amigo.

Valoro mucho a las personas que están ahí de verdad, y Aitor me lo ha demostrado una y otra vez. Yo solo intento devolverle esa confianza y ese apoyo de la misma forma.

Estoy seguro que este año va a dar mucho de que hablar 😌

I watched this granny spend the entire competition cheering, shouting, and believing in them from start to finish. She never stopped.

That kind of love can’t be measured. That kind of support is beautiful.

I told her she should be proud of herself, because not everyone shows up like that. Not everyone gives so much of themselves to lift someone else up.

Never take people like this for granted. Their support is more powerful than they will ever know. ❤️
