These photographs are part of "Between Faith and Memory", an ongoing series documenting roadside shrines, crosses and religious landmarks within the Polish landscape.

The photographs are shaped by a perspective influenced by migration and distance from the Polish landscape. From this position, these structures reveal meanings beyond religion alone. They become part of a wider story of history and culture, rooted in the landscape. This project documents their presence within the Polish landscape, where still-rural environments continue to evolve and may, over time, be transformed or disappear.

Taken in January 2026, during a winter that blanketed the landscape in quiet, snow-covered stillness.

A moment, not a pose

Many couples tell me they’re nervous about posing – and I completely understand. Even though I’m a photographer, I only have a few photos of myself.

That’s why I work in a relaxed, flexible way.
You don’t have to pose if it’s not your thing.
And you don’t need to look at the camera – just like in the photo shown here.
You’re there for each other, not for me.
I’m simply there to document the moment and the memory it becomes.

Alongside candid, documentary-style shots, I can gently guide you through a few natural, posed ones – no stiff smiles, no pressure.
Just quiet direction and honest emotion.

Candid moments, gentle guidance, true connection.
That’s how I work.

Guests taking photos? I’m all for it.

I’ll admit it — a little selfishly, I wanted a keepsake for myself. Just a tiny piece of the day to take with me.

Just before I left, I looked back and saw them through the window — the couple and their family gathered inside. I smiled and waved, mimed something like "one last photo!".
I took the shot — with my own reflection gently framed in the window, just as I’d planned.

It’s not just their memory — it’s mine too.
By the end of the day, I often feel like I’m part of the story too — and that’s something I’m truly proud of.

A smile that says "welcome to the family."

The ceremony had just ended, the air was buzzing with joy, and emotions were flying everywhere — in the best possible way.
Right in the middle of the happy chaos: the bride, wrapped in a big, emotional hug from her new mother-in-law.
Behind them, the proud father-in-law smiling like he just won the lottery.

No posing, no planning, 100% pure emotion — caught in 1/500th of a second.
