Mr and Mrs Binder

“Do you still do photography?” Is a question I get asked a lot, especially by people I went to school with. Jonny and I have been friends for years (we’re birthday brothers) so when that question came through, it was an easy yes! Maybe easier than Laura’s yes?

I really enjoyed photographing this wedding, it was a creative and technical challenge shooting hybrid and ending up in 5 locations throughout the day.

It was a pleasure capturing Jonny and Laura’s day!

We Are What We Leave Behind

It’s one thing to remember someone, but it’s another to hold on to what truly made them who they were, their voice, their thoughts, their memories and stories. Having lost my fair share of loved ones, I wanted to use my skills to capture the things we might otherwise forget.

Here’s a preview of a conversation I had with my Grandad about his life, his early years, meeting my Nana, starting work, and raising a family. It’s a conversation I’ll cherish for the rest of my life and hopefully share with my future family too.

After many suggestions, I’m now offering something similar as a service, Behind the Life. Behind the Life offers a bespoke video where I sit down with your loved ones and capture their stories in crystal clear video and audio.

Earlier this month I got the opportunity to do something new. Ema got in touch and told me that she wanted photos of her last pregnancy taking which I was more than happy to do. It was a very daunting experience especially for a man, this felt like such a delicate and intimate part of her life to photograph.

We had previously discussed the idea of an outdoor shoot but a homely indoor shoot quickly became a favourite idea for all of us. I wanted to capture it documentary style, as if I was observing her day to day and I feel like that have produced some incredible memories for her.
