Georgina Frances is a photographer specialising in newborn photography, baby photography, family photography and pregnancy/maternity.

Based in Darley Dale clients come from across the UK for her newborn portrait sittings. Newborn baby photography sessions take place ideally in the first 10 days of life. This is an unbelievable time when your baby is still so tiny and angelic. They will be curled up and sleeping all the time. Sadly, this doesn't last long and within a few days the style of photography from a true newborn shoot wi

ll no longer be possible. Within 6 weeks the change will be substantial and those moments will be gone. The idea of newborn photography is to capture those first incredibly magical days of a baby's life. The innocence and beauty in those brief first days. If the baby is healthy and mum is doing well, Georgina prefers to photograph in the first week. During this time the baby is still very sleepy and most pose-able. Her style is real, simple, classic and organic looking. Although she does use some simple props in some of her photographs, she believes that the focus should be on the newborn itself — capturing the character and attributes of your baby in its first days of life. Please try and book your session as far in advance as possible. Ideally 3 months or so before your due date. Unless you are having a scheduled C-section, you are not going to know when your baby will be born. Your due date will be put in the diary. Georgina will leave time in her schedule around the date to ensure she can schedule your session. As soon as baby is born, please have someone contact her so we can arrange your shoot within those precious first 10 days.

Hello, everyone! 🌟

It’s been a while since I last shared here, and I wanted to take a moment to reconnect. As many of you know, running a creative business is a beautiful journey, but it does come with its own challenges. The passion I have for photography, working with clients, and capturing those special moments is something I truly love. But, let’s be honest, social media and marketing can be a bit overwhelming at times.

I needed a little break to recharge and find balance, but I’m excited to be back and more intentional with my posts this year. Thank you all for your support and patience. I can’t wait to share more of my work, connect with you all, and continue this wonderful journey together.

🌟 It feels like a full-circle moment! Almost three and a half years ago now, I photographed this beautiful family for a maternity session and then not long after a newborn session with Darcey, as one of my very first studio clients, and now, here we are again capturing her beautiful baby brother, Rudy. From maternity to newborn sessions, it’s been such a joy to watch this family grow.

I’ll be honest, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind lately, and I haven’t posted as often as I’d like, but I’m excited to get back into sharing these precious moments with you all. Thank you for being part of this journey with me!

I absolutely loved this extended family session — two families and grandparents all together, full of laughter, cuddles, and a few cheeky moments in between 🥰
There’s something really special about capturing these generations together — the connections, the little resemblances, the love that ties everyone in.

I mentioned in my stories the other day that I’m planning a day of family sessions soon, and this is exactly the kind of magic I’d love to capture more of!

After a whirlwind summer (with lots of sandy toes, sticky ice creams, and time with my little ones 🥰), I’m finally back behind the camera again!

With Margot starting school full time this week, it feels like a whole new chapter – and I’m so excited to have the space to really crack on and catch up with all the beautiful sessions I have to share.

Starting with this gorgeous family who welcomed their newest little love not long ago 🤍 Watching siblings together in those first few weeks always makes my heart melt – these are some of my absolute favourites from their session.

It feels so good to be back!

I’m looking for two newborn babies under 3 weeks old to model during a training session with another photographer at my Darley Dale studio on Wednesday 11th September. As a thank you, parents will receive 5 complimentary digital images from the session. 📸 A few important details: 👩‍👩‍👦 Parents must also be happy to be photographed. 🌐 Images will be used by both myself and the training photographer for websites, social media, and marketing. ✍️ Parents will need to sign a model release/contract. 💷 A small refundable deposit will be required to secure your place. 👉 If you’ve just had your baby (or are due within the next week) and would love some beautiful keepsake images, please get in touch!And if you know someone who might be interested, please share this post — it would mean so much 💕

✨ Île de Ré will always have our hearts ✨ One of our favourite stops on our campervan travels — and by pure chance, we stumbled into the most magical moment. On our cycle back one evening (after I dropped my phone 🙈), the sky lit up in the most beautiful sunset. We pulled over, and I’m so glad we did… because I got these pictures of my babies having a cuddle and a play amongst the flowers, bathed in golden light. 🌸☀️ Sometimes the unplanned moments really are the best. 💛

Sometimes, the most precious photos aren’t the perfectly posed ones… they’re the moments in between.

This little one wasn’t feeling her calmest during her session, so mum held her close for some cuddles — and then big sister came to help settle her too. 💕
It was such a fleeting, tender moment, but these are the images that tell the real story. The love, the connection, the way everyone rallies around the newest member of the family.

Posed shots are beautiful, but it’s these unscripted moments that you’ll treasure forever.

Back to baby snuggles 💛

As much as I’ve loved sharing bits of our summer adventures, I couldn’t resist jumping back into the studio for a moment to share this beautiful newborn session.

There’s something so grounding about these quiet, love-filled moments — capturing a family’s first days with their newest little love will never stop being a privilege.

Happy 7th Birthday to my gorgeous boy! 💛

I can’t believe you’re 7 today — how did that happen so fast?! My first baby, the one who made me a mama, and who makes me proud every single day.

You are the most empathetic, kind, sweet, sensitive and funny soul, with the biggest heart and the wildest love for bikes, adventure, and the great outdoors. My little thrill seeker, always chasing the next trail or wave — just like your daddy (and maybe a bit like me too 😉).

We’re spending today cycling through the beautiful Île de Ré to find the perfect beach spot, and fingers crossed for a boat trip later too — your dream day in your element! 🌊🚲☀️
