Surprisingly dry evening (after a rainy day) guiding round Upper Hollesley Common yesterday. Highlights included yellowhammer, chiffchaff, coal tit, goldcrest, kestrel, Dartford warbler, stonechat, cuckoo, barn owl, fallow deer ... and then the real stars/target as the sun set and the nightjars began 'churring'.

Fantastic mix of wildlife on our Naze Ladybirders walk this morning. Phenomenal numbers of painted ladies! Other highlights included red veined darter, lesser emperor (I think), ruby tailed wasp, red mason bee, whitethroat, sedge warbler, linnet, sand martin and so much more.
