A huge thank you to Zoe & Alex for asking me to be part of your special day and trusting me to capture it all for you.

From the beautiful setting of Thainstone House Hotel , to all the little details that made the day so personal, every part of it felt so full of love, laughter and emotion.

It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with you both, capturing the moments, the people and all those little memories that you’ll hopefully look back on for years to come.

We’re squeezing in an extra Spotlight this week for something a little more special 🌈

Greig Ward Photography offers beautiful Over the Rainbow shoots, creating a chance to capture precious memories with our beloved dogs before they cross the rainbow bridge. For many of us, our dogs are family, and having those special moments captured to look back on can mean so much. These shoots are about celebrating the bond, the memories and the love we share with our four-legged companions. 🤍

As always, Sniffs in the Shire isn’t sponsored or paid to feature any of the businesses we share — we’re simply here to showcase local businesses and help our community discover what’s out there.

Just a quick FYI: Rainbow shoots are totally free no cost whatsoever to you. There is no amount of money that could pay me to take images of your little furry family members in their last days with you.

🌈 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙬 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙩 🌈

I was asked if I would manage a last minute shoot for this lovely little pooch, as she was sadly due to be put to sleep. 💔
Once I was asked and the circumstances were explained, I couldn’t say no in any way, shape or form. So, after work, I headed to Aden Park to meet Biscuit.

There, I met Biscuit & Bear, and honestly, I had the best hour watching her run around as if nothing was wrong at all. She was so full of beans, full of life and full of love. ❤️

It was also obvious just how much Biscuit meant to her lovely owner, Carol. Sometimes we forget that they aren't just dogs or animals. They are family, and for so many people, they are no different from children. ❤️🐾.

It was such a lovely day, surrounded by your two wonderful kids (even tho i got stung £5 for a smile 🤣), family and so much love. The ceremony was genuinely emotional, and it was brilliant seeing how much you both mean to everyone around you.

A huge congratulations to the now Mr & Mrs Mathers, who tied the knot on Saturday, 5th September 2026! 🥂💍

The bride looked absolutely beautiful, and you could see just how happy they both were as they celebrated becoming husband and wife. ❤️

And for a couple of lads who are more used to stock cars, race tracks and getting covered in oil than dressing up, they certainly pulled it out the bag! 🏁😂

It was an absolute pleasure to be there to capture the special moments, the little details, the laughs and, of course, the people that made the day what it was.

I recently had the honour of taking some photos for Nikki Ritchie of the beautiful Raven before she sadly crossed the Rainbow bridge. She was such a big loving and caring dog who was loved in every way shape & form.

I'm nae a clever loon but i do use my brain for some good a wee poem for Raven ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Through the lens, i captured your soul,
A gentle heart, so big and whole.
A newfoundland with eyes so kind,
A friend like you is hard to find.

Now you're gone, but still you stay,
In every photograph , in every day.
A wagging tail, a loving gaze,
Forever caught in golden frames.

Rest peacefully, sweet Raven,
