An image from last weeks outing. Light in this shot shows that even when it is not great there is short periods when it changes.

Roseisle beach was the venue for this weeks meeting. Spring may be here but the chilly breeze did not deter us. Despite the challenging light we did manage to capture some images. As always a good walk and chat made the outing worthwhile. As Karl Lagerfeld said ‘what I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that is gone for forever, and is impossible to reproduce’. Is still as true now as when he said it.

No wander this week due to cold wind and intermittent showers. Wander planned for next week.
I have added an image from the event at Dallas Dhu Distillery recently where we met some old and new faces. If you are interested in improving your photos feel free to join us during a Thursday outing. It is a chance to ask questions and perhaps visit somewhere where you have not been. Remember every shot has a story, start yours here.

The first summer evening walk was on Forres High Street. A small group enjoyed a chat and looked for images that pleased the eye. The small selection of images have been sent by some of the group who enjoyed the sunshine and the company.

It is May, daylight is getting longer so it must be time to get out with camera. On Thursday 7th May we will meet in Leys Car park at 6:30pm for a walk and look for photo opportunities. All are welcome whether you have Mobile phone camera or Linhof Technica camera - most important thing is passion and eye for good photograph. So come and join us and there will be someone who can answer any question you have about camera or photography. PS wear comfy footwear and take warm clothing as it may be chilly🥶

Forres camera club had a display of photographs at the Dallas Dhu event today. We also had images entered in the competition and we are delighted to announce that Mark Greaves not only won 1st prize with a stunning image of St Monans Pier - he also took 3rd place with his Spitfire aircraft titled ‘Warbird’. Second place was taken by Lenny Smith of Speyside Photographic Group. Congratulations to the winning photographers with an especially big, BIG round of applause for Mark.

A number of people stopped by for a chat and look at members work and we hope some of them may join the club as a result of chatting with us.
