Craig Cantwell Photography

Craig Cantwell Photography I love animals of all sorts but I have a real connection with dogs and I LOVE my job.

I have a custom built Dog Photography Studio as well as a large secure outdoor area for those dogs who either have a high prey drive or "selective hearing" :-) I am a Dog Photographer rather than a Photographer who happens to Photograph Dogs. I have my Canine Frist Aid and Canine Behaviour certificates and currently hold the title of "Scotland's Best Pet Photographer"

I pride myself on being tra

nsparent and affordable with my prices whilst still providing a first class service and images. I am passionate abut Charitable work and give substantial discount to any registered Charity, not for profit organisation or Community Groups and I support several local charities. I also run a Film and Photography Project in partnership with DD8 Music, one of our local charities in Kirriemuir

Don't you just love FB memories 😁

This was 7 years ago and was one of my 1st puppy shoots.

I remember it well as Willow was such a beautiful puppy and I still see Willows mum occasionally.

We finally have some sun and I genuinely can't wait to get photographing outdoors again!!!

Have a wonderful weekend folks, wherever you are, whatever you are doing 😁

Isn't this fabulous?

The lovely and very talented Mandy from Faraston Designs created this artwork using one of my images as the reference πŸ˜€

I am blown away by her talent!!!

Fantastic 😊😊😊

I’m busy finishing, photographing and uploading Mother’s Day so here’s another doodle…

We lost this old boy about a year ago. He was 16 1/2 years old, he was a hilarious pain in the ass but loved so much by everyone who met him. He’s left a huge hole but wonderful memories 🀎

The East coast of Scotland has been absolutely battered with rain for weeks now breaking all sorts of records....and not in a good way.

We decided to head off before our Pet evolved into flippers!!

It really hasn't been weather for Dog Photography but I have still managed to photograph plenty of dogs this year, just not outside.

The forecast is for another week of rain and some snow so there won't be any location shoots until things brighten up.

The only silver lining is that all that rain has been falling as snow on the Scottish mountains which will benefit the Ski Centre's

I'm back to work Monday and I'll get sharing some dog pics but for now, this has been my "office" for the last week 😎

Enjoy whats left of the weekend and if you're nearby, try and stay dry πŸ™‚

Always a joy to support such a wonderful charity who do such fantastic work!!!

Thank you to Perthshire Photographic Society for inviting me to speak and for making me feel so welcome :-)

Public speaking isn't something I am used to and it is an extremely nerve wrecking experience. Once I got started though, the nerves abated and sharing my work and experiences with a room of photographers was very enjoyable :-)

The best thing is, not a single person fell asleep or left at the break πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Thanks to everyone in attendance, particularly those who gave me such wonderful feedback afterwards :-)

Thank you Craig Cantwell & Perthshire Photographic Society πŸ“·

We are delighted to confirm receipt of Β£150.00 from Perthshire Photographic Society. This donation was sent to us on behalf of Craig Cantwell Photography, who gave a talk at the society last night and requested his speakers fee be donated to us.

Thank you to Craig for your continued support πŸ’™

It has been a busy start to the year already but also frustrating. Some technical issues with my PC and email now seem to have been sorted so I can get cracking on with my editing again :-)

I can't thank you guys enough!!!

That's all the appointments for January, February and March gone and April is filling up fast with appointments in all the way up to September!! I'm not sure why we have started off so busy this year but I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, particularly those loyal beings who are not visiting for their first time and have decided to return :-)

Here's a random selection of images to hopefully brighten your day :-)

Have a wonderful Wednesday folks, wherever you are, and once again, thank you for all the support :-)

I hope everyone had a lovely Festive Season?

Scotland has been battered by snow storms the last few days and just 20 miles north of us it is wild, with lots and lots of snow closing roads and schools whilst we have absolutely no snow here at all!

I'm back to work tomorrow and looking forward to the year ahead :-)

Have a lovely Monday everyone :-)

Wishing everyone a fun Hogmanay and a happy and healthy 2026. I wish everyone the very best of success next year πŸ˜€

For those in Scotland, please stay safe the next few days as the snow and winds arrive!!

Apologies for the photo, but I'm not at home and don't have access to my library of dog images, which I am sure you would appreciate more than my ugly mug πŸ˜‚

Cheers everyone!!!

Another fantastic tractor run on Xmas Eve with over 200 tractors!!

Last time I checked, Β£10k had bee raised for charity. Any profits from print or digital sales will be donated to Forfar JAC who organise the event.

Light was extremely poor and even though it looks light, it was VERY dull so it was a real challenge to capture moving objects in such low light (I'm getting my excuses in now lol)

Here is the link if anyone would like to see some of the parade. I have also attached a short video in the comments :-)

I hope you all had a lovely Xmas Day and Santa was good to everyone:-) x

I would like to wish all of my followers, friends, their families and all of their loved ones a very Merry Christmas :-)

No matter what your Faith is, whether you have one or not, I wish everyone a wonderful day full of peace, love and joy and I hope that Santa was good to you all :-)

To those of you who have lost a loved one this year, whether human or animal, my thoughts are with you ###

We will be attending Forfar JAC tractor run today.

It was a fantastic effort by all involved last year with lots of money raised for charity :-)

I hope to take some pics again this year with any money from print/digital sales going direct to the supported charities :-)

If you would like to donate, you can do so here https://www.justgiving.com/page/katie-anna-scott-1

Here are a few of the pics from last year (it's much duller this year!!)

I hope you like them and that you have a cracking Christmas Eve :-)

I have been having some PC issues so I've been cleaning up hard drives etc. I came across some images and videos of some of animal rescues/encounters I have had. I thought I'd add them here so I have a record of them as I've lost so many other videos and pics of many of the wonderful wildlife encounters I've had!!

All animals are completely wild, including the bird of prey on my shoulder, the mouse climbing my trousers and the little blue tit sitting chirping in my hand :-)

I hope they bring a wee smile to your face......they did mine :-)

Have a lovely evening everyone :-)

Pet Portraits

I am a Pet Portrait Photographer rather than a photographer who also happens to photograph Pets. Photographing animals is something I just LOVE and I have invested a lot of time and training to be able to give you and your beloved the best experience possible. I carry out both Location and Studio shoots and if you come to me you can have both as part of the same session.

My Pet Portrait Experience is extremely popular as are my Gift Certificates.

I have just invested in a new studio which should be completed soon and I am in the process of fencing an area of mixed woodland/open field so that those of you who cannot usually let your dog off lead will be able to.

I am a qualified Canine and Human First Aider and have won several Awards for my Photography as well as being published Worldwide
