My prices start from £35 p/h (This gives you around 25-30 Full Size photos on a disc) This means you are free to do what ever you want with these photos. From getting prints to uploading on Facebook. Hey folks. Unfortunately still out of action. So quick little update where I am at right now.

I am out of the cast, and just just testing the water with being out of the hard air boot. Pain is still on crazy levels lots of strong pain killers to manage that. I can stand for few mins I still cant walk. I can kinda shuffle round the home. I think the thicker bone has healed up well but the other thinner bone is the side giving me issues. I don't believe I will be walking normal by Xmas but will try my best of course. Got lot of physiotherapy ahead.

That said in terms of photography we are likely looking at next year to be back to taking jobs and that's will probably be small party's registry office weddings and studio photos. We have to see how it goes. The last post I'd like to again thank everyone who put themselves or other photographers forward to cover a wedding at short notice its very much appreciated.

Will let you all know when I am well enough to take on more work.

Hello everyone!

This is a time I need to call on you support. I have a lovely cupple booked in for wedding photography on 21st July 2022. (7-weeks time) unfortunately due to breaking both tibia and fibula It's highly unlikely I can shoot their wedding. If any friends or who are in the photography game (wedding capable) would be able to take on this job at short notice would be appreciated. Anyone interested in taking on this wedding please comment below your contact details below. I will forward all comments on to the client.

I also have loads of equipment lighting lenses etc. I may also offer to loan some equipment to someone who I have worked with or no well before.

Basic details for now is:

Wedding location - Manor of events Manor Farm Henley (Ipswich bound)

No bride / groom prep photography needed.

Just photographs from the venue. (all in one location)

Guest numbers:
50 - Daytime
20 - Evening extra to total about 70 Guests.

Approximate schedule of the day below.

1pm - Groom + guests arrived

2pm - Ceremony

2.15pm - Main formal wedding Photographs

3.45pm - Meal sitting

5-5.30pm - Speeches

7pm - Extra evening guests arrive

7.30pm. Wedding cake cutting

7.45pm First Dance

Then free flow evening dance photos everyone enjoying themselves.

I do have more information if needed. But i think it would be in the best interest for for the person taken on the project and the client to just hand over the wedding shoot.

In 10+ years this is the only time. I have let someone down. I feel absolutely terrible for it!!! Today is the only day I've felt not pumped full. Of drugs to inform the couple and try to find them another photographer. ASAP

So how's everyone here? I haven't really been doing anything workwise for a year. I have been dipping my toe into other photography areas. Infrared and projection photography.

Projection is cool where you project a background behind the subject. So the light spill gives some wikid results.

IR is very strange like everything you think you know about light gets turned on its head.

Thats about it really. Soon as covid numbers are low & stable il start to take bookings again but for now i dont want to take on any work to have to cancel it to meet covid guidelines. But things are looking better arnt they? We just have to wait and see.

Hello peeps, Hope everyone had a peaceful xmas and new year.

Id like to give you all an update. But there really isnt much to update. None of us really know if and when things will get back to some kind of normal. Still not taking on anymore bookings until things settle down (i don't think it be responsible). As we all know rules can change from 1 week to the next😔. So as I have said before from my end I will honour any current bookings that are scheduled with myself.

So what have I been doing?

Nothing really, yesterday started playing about 3D photography, (old style red/blue glasses). I tinkered with it about 10yrs ago but didnt really do much more. Having better gear now im curious just how well it will work. How cool would a 3D confetti wedding photo look printed on canvas, just an idea?? Have to see how that turns out. Would really love to get back out shooting again but its not the best time right now.

Lets hope it improves this year, think 2020 has been a terrible year for almost everyone (apart from amazon). Any questions or advice regarding photography, cameras or equipment drop me a message, always happy to be helpful.

Just wanted to put out a little update.

As we are all aware Covid-19 has affected us all its become a pain in the ass to say the least. I was planing to give a update back in September with some good news. Unfortunately we have seen things go from bad to worse. Photography is a job where you really need close contact with people and shooting from a distance is not ideal. So until things improve with the Covid-19 situation I will not be taking on any further bookings still for the moment. For customers who have weddings booked in 2021 these WILL still be honored by myself. So don't worry in that regard. Right now would be irresponsible for me to take on further bookings while the future climate is so unclear right now.

In other news I have managed to pick up and add to the equipment 2x FULL Frame Canon 1D and few more lenses.

As some of you may know I have a bit of a love for 35mm film. I never use film in any professional work. Digital much better suited for the task. Covid gave me the time to be experimental development with film. Putting togeather chemicals recipe about 150yrs old from house hold items. (was great experience)

This brings me onto an idea.

I have the ability to scan 35mm film to a significantly better standard than most photo labs offer. I can scan 35mm negatives or slides at:

5760x3840 (22 Mega Pixels)
Uncompressed 14BIT Depth per color channel

I am currently rescaning all my films from over the years. I am maybe thinking of offering High resolution film scanning as a service.

Maybe you or parents/grandparents have old photos on film from, 20,30,40,50 years ago. What if I told you that film has a ton of resolution you didnt think was possible. Old memorys in super high resolution. Will post some of my results over next few days where you can see for yourself. So if your intrested in such a scanning service get in contact. If its a service thats wanted Im set up for it!

Hello peeps, hope everyone is OK and well. Just a little update really as noticed a surge in activity on this page over last cupple weeks. My personal view is the government have opened up the lockdown measures a bit earlier than I had hoped. So that being said I wont be taking any further NEW bookings at the moment. (Current bookings that have been pushed back are not affected by this.) I will review this decision in September. I am still available for any questions / advice and information etc.

I would like to thank everyone for the support you have all given over the past few years it is all because of you I have the privilege to photograph and record peoples memorys. Every Like, share and recommendations to your friends and family I never felt the need to have to advertise. It's all been word of mouth so Big thankyou. So I am going sit this one out for a little while and see what happens.

On a side note this downtime did give me a chance to play about with processing 35mm film in a homebrew of chemicals made with Coffee and few other ingredients. The image quality is absolutely terrible by today's standards but there was something very organic about the experience. I suppose this was probably how photographs would have been processed 120 years ago

Unfortunately due to current state of events (Gov advice regarding COVID-19) ALL photoshoots / bookings are SUSPENDED at the moment. Some of you have been in contact with me directly and have explained your situation and postponed your weddings till further notice... Thanks for your communication.

Any current bookings will have to be rescheduled when social distance measures are no longer in place. If you have me booked for a shoot please get in contact before you rebook your wedding so we can check my availability. May I also suggest you do this with any other trades you may have booked for the day.

PS - note to all,
Please try and maintain socal distance from anybody who is not in your household. Its not only to protect you but more so to protect others. Follow the Gov advice

Just ordered some more timers for the cameras. Plan on doing a long exposure time-lapse down Felixstowe Docks using 3 or 4 cameras all in sync.

Canon 5Dmkiii with 24-105mm F4 L-series
Canon 1D mkii with 70-200mm F2.8
Canon 550D with 50mm F1.4
Canon 300D with 22-55mm (maybe as lacks resolution)

Using all the Hi Res Stills, batch edit and render into an 8K video. Been doing some tests on the the Canon 1D over past week or so.

So Ive just been told by a friend who I shoot with I need to get some balls and shoot a wedding on film. So my question to all of you if you was presented with an option for you wedding photos to be shot on FILM or DIGITAL what would you opt for and why?
