As many of you have already heard about the recent cases of poisonings locally along the coast, we thought it would be good to create this warning poster to raise awareness for people who are still unaware.

It isn't just crabs that are a danger, but also dab fish and starfish that have tested positive for high levels of PSP toxins. Tests are still currently ongoing to find the exact cause.

Essentially, if you go to any coastal or estuary location along the North Sea, we advise you either keep your dog on a lead where you can control what they might scavenge, or place a muzzle on them to prevent ingestion. Just use caution at present until we know the full extent of the danger.

** If you see or suspect your dog may have eaten something, call the local vet immediately **
