In 12 years of weddings I’ve only had 3 truely torrential all day downpours. But I always make a plan with my couples before hand. I think (perhaps being British !!) the weather is an important part of the story - but just because it’s not sunny doesn’t mean you can’t have some gorgeous portraits. So I did some training with to learn how to take photos in the rain (first photo is in the snow, and the bride is wearing uggs) Each time I set the shots up and then call the couple out under my umbrella, for a quick photo. If there is a bride and they are wearing a dress they are standing on a plastic sheet I’ve bought with me to stop the dress getting really wet at the bottom.

Caught between fear and excitement to find that the trailer of my episode on Wedding Mayhem is out!!

Sharon and Lizzie were so lovely and easy to chat to that I genuinely forgot about the filming, so I have no idea what odd facial expressions might have popped out when I was feeling so relaxed!

Those of you who've met me know I'm animated - particularly when I'm talking about something I really enjoy doing - like weddings!

I know so many people can be really nervous about the photography part of their wedding day - I look forward to sharing the full episode very soon.
