BLACK01 returns to RAF Fairford after an early morning departure.

Always good to see the U-2 Dragon Lady back in the skies over Fairford, especially with the pace of missions from the base having slowed down recently.

BONDO55 departing RAF Fairford on a local training mission.

The B-1 kept it low on departure, giving us the full force of four afterburning engines 🔥 You don’t just hear a B-1 this close - you feel it.

BURNER65 arrives back at RAF Fairford after a Sunday local training mission off the Cornish coast.

Seen here up close as the B-1B Lancer taxis off the runway and you really get a sense of just how long and loud this aircraft is.

Over 146 feet of B-1B 🔥✈️

A Kalitta Air 747F arrives at RAF Fairford, with a B-1B Lancer sitting in the background.

747s have become a familiar sight at Fairford, bringing in some interesting supplies to support the B-1s & B52s during their deployment.

The Queen of the Skies alongside one of the USAF’s most iconic bombers. 🇺🇸✈️

A USAF B-52 Stratofortress holds on the taxiway at RAF Fairford after landing, with its braking parachute still deployed.

The drag chute is used to help slow the 185-foot, eight-engine bomber after touchdown, reducing the strain on the wheel brakes and shortening the landing roll. Once clear of the runway, it’s jettisoned before the aircraft taxis to its parking spot.

Have you ever seen a B-52 deploy its drag chute? 👇

Nothing quite compares to seeing a B-52 up close. My ears still haven’t recovered from being so close to the eight TF33 engines! Returning to RAF Fairford after a Mediterranean training sortie. Have you ever seen one in person? 👇

A B-52 Stratofortress returning to RAF Fairford after a training sortie down to the Mediterranean, arriving back in some lovely English summer weather.

Rather than full stop, the Buff performed multiple touch and goes!

A B-1B Lancer launching from RAF Fairford in some lovely English sunshine, and keeping it nice and low on departure.

This was the second jet out, and somehow even louder than the first… safe to say I was regretting not bringing ear protection pretty quickly!

A B-52 Stratofortress returning to RAF Fairford after a long mission, flying a controlled and slightly dramatic approach back into base.

As the foggy conditions began to clear, the Buff certainly made its presence known on final!

A pair of B-1B Lancers departing early morning on a mission last week. Don’t need an early morning alarm when these are around!
