I am a photographer based at home in the picturesque fishing town of Eyemouth in South East Scotland. I do not restrict myself to one genre, editing style, or “feeling”. While a bulk of my portfolio is landscape and animal/wildlife work, I readily and easily shoot environmental portraiture, architecture, fine art, as well as any event you can imagine. My style in general has been described as “evo

cative” and “it really makes you feel like you’re there!” I like to think I find and extract beauty and interest in the everyday sights we are all so familiar with. The Eyemouth Herring Queen beach games! There have been many, many images to go through and each one is edited so thanks for your patience in getting these all released. Pyjama Parade and fireworks to follow tomorrow evening! 🎆

There were some stellar efforts on the beach, and despite the later rain the fun did not stop! It has to be said that photographing the pie eating contest on the beach in the persistent rain was perhaps the most surreal 20 minutes of my life 😅

It's fair to say The Eyemouth Herring Queen Fancy Dress Competition was a huge success!

There were plenty of amazing costumes and smiles with good vibes all round. The Queen's trucks looked like a riot!

This past Saturday our town saw the 80th annual Eyemouth Herring Queen crowning, and what a day it was! Once again I had the privilege of capturing every moment.

Holly did herself and the town proud and all looked spectacular arriving in on the boats and parading through the town. Here are the shots of Holly's arrival, plus the boats, parades, ceremony, and a few others here and there.

Given the special nature of this year's festival, we also saw the return of past Queens from far and wide. These shots warrant their own post so keep your eyes pealed!
