Me in Naples earlier this year photographing a new series, “If these walls could talk” Limited Editions of 10 Photographs - Italy 2026

When not in my painting studio and whilst traveling, I ‘paint with my camera’, instead, seeking to find my paintings within the marks, stains, colours and textures of distressed and weathered walls and other surfaces, some parts of which have intentionally or accidentally been laid down by others. My intent is to photographically frame these images and subsequently print them exactly as found.

“What I find fascinating about finding these images in the walls in Southern Italy, is that I have little idea how they arrived to look the way they do at the time of my choosing to photograph them. I don’t know who or what made them or the timescale involved for them to look the way they do and this creates, for me, a sense of mystery and intrigue of untold stories, captured and embedded in the final photograph.”

Photographs Printed on Hahnemuehle German etching paper with archival ink. Image size 36.6 x 54.9 cm Paper size 42 x 59.4 cm. £950 + p+p
