Unlabel Me:

After taking some time off over the summer to relax with my friends and family I am back and can’t wait to share more exciting work !! I can’t wait to get back to Photography at Brighton Uni in September and begin my third and final year of the course.

This is another image from my Unlabel Me series, this body of work married together ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ pieces of clothing to show that “fashion has no gender”. Through unique and playful styling I created work that showed that clothing can be worn by anyone anyway they wish.

Unlabel Me:

My project unlabel me is continuing to build. The project is about gender binaries and norm in the fashion industry and finding a way of blending it together to create unique styling showcasing that anyone can wear anything they wish in any way they wish. The project aims to confirm the statement “fashion has no gender” 🌟

In this shoot I wanted to take the focus away from the styling slightly. I kept the outfit incredibly simple, black trousers, black racer back vest and black hat. I added the small polka dot scarf to add a more ‘feminine’ accessory to the look.

Unlabel Me is my current project that I am working on. The project aims to confirm that statement “fashion has no gender” and it tries to showcase that anyone can wear anything they wish however they wish and still feel confident. The project takes masculine and feminine elements and combines them into gender neutral outfits.

Unlabel Me

Finally sharing one of the first images from my initial shoot for this on going project titled ‘Unlable Me’. This project is about gender norms in fashion and using styling to combine the “two” genders into unique styles. The project aims to confirm that statement that’s often said across social media “fashion has no gender” by combining juxtaposing styles and garments I create unique outfits, showing that anyone can wear anything they wish.
I’ve got so many more exciting things planned for this project and I can’t wait to develop it more over the coming weeks.
