What I would give right now to repeat this and get absolutely soaked to cool off..... And yes I did get soaked 🤦 but it wasn't hot like it is today 🥵🥵

Location: Southwold Suffolk

The sea was really full of energy the day after a storm had passed through which made for the most amazing stormy seas.

Do be safe in these hot temps and keep an eye on elderly/vulnerable people.

Today I escaped to the Norfolk Coast to get away from the searing heat inland.

It was literally 10deg cooler at the coast.... On leaving it was a beautiful 22c.....by the time I got home it was back to 32c

I walked from Holkham to Burnham Overy Staithe. No camera with me today as it was just a day to relax.

However this image I did take in Burnham Overy Staithe one summers eve a few years ago...and continues to be a popular image at my stall.

Tomorrow I'm going to escape to the Norfolk coast to try and avoid the searing heat inland.

This image was taken at Heacham Norfolk and the wading birds were doing their thing along the shore line..... That part of the coast has the most amazing sunsets and this was no exception!

Please be safe in this hot weather and do check on elderly or vulnerable people who may some need help.

For those of you that love a good Windmill - Norfolk is the place for these. Saw loads last week when I was pootling around.

This Windmill is a Grade II listed tower mill at Cley next the Sea, Norfolk, England which has been converted to hotel accommodation.

Loved all the flowers around the mill and the wispy clouds in the skies ❤❤

I heard on the radio this morning it's 'International Waterfall Day' today on 16/6/26

Where I live in the Fens of East Anglia there are zero waterfalls as it's so flat...so I do make sure I get my fix of them when I can.

So this must be my all time favourite waterfall image I have taken...all the way from the Isle of Skye in Scotland. I had the worst weather whilst visiting but I got the most cracking moody skies.

Today i've been pootling around the Norfolk Broads and stopped off at Hickling where they have these amazng Thatched Boat Houses. The walk to these boathouses was a bit jaw dropping as the most amazing properties lined the road.

Again i had to think out of the box a bit as there was no access down to the boathouses themselves - and I thought this would look lovely in Black & White - i loved the steps in the foreground.

I currently in Norfolk for a few days...enjoying some time off and lots of walking and enjoying the scenery and no clock...

Something a little different from me......

Today in Suffolk i visited this location with challenging light and difficult choices with composition.

When I looked at this image on my laptop in colour I wasn't really keen - but when I switched it to Black & White it changed the feel of the image.

Had a day at the coast today and spent some time at Dunwich.It made for some interesing skies today by the huge downpour...

Had a day at the coast today and spent some time at Dunwich.

It made for some interesing skies today by the huge downpours and thunder then bright blue skies again....rinse & repeat all day.

Loved the clouds after the storm passed over out to sea.
