Earlier this week I was holding my child while on a trip to Manchester with my little family, when I got a notification on my phone. Upon reading it while balancing holding my kiddo, I found I was on this list with 14 other incredibly talented photographers, I could be nothing but honored. Being a new mom who feels such a passion to keep documenting couples in love and feeling like this is what I want to continue to do forever, it’s a really solid feeling, when days can become long with a child sometimes, but I feel as though I’m still very passionate and excited for each year of wedding days after a decade of photographing couples in love between the US and UK. Grateful to be fully booked this year, and slowly filling next year with some beautiful celebrations for the kindest couples.
For me, I personally focus on documenting weddings days to hold memories solely for the couples who want to see their day through my eyes, so it always feels pretty lovely when someone outside of the wedding day also values the images or can resonate with them in some way as well, whether it’s through the emotion or the artistry.
So I thought I would share a few more from the wedding day of the bridal portrait that chose to share on their list, where Courtney and Colin got ready together at in Chicago and we walked around downtown for a bit before their beautiful ceremony and then had a disco party late into the night.
