My favourite shoe, the one that goes on the other foot is just as good. Not just any shoe, but a Loake! I’ve had this shoe for 4 years now, it still works. It’s traipsed around Zacatecas, gallivanted around Bogota, skipped through Seoul, hiked the streets of Bratislava, sauntered through Gdansk, adventured from Malaga to Granada to Alicante, pirouetted it’s way to Paris and walked through Qingdao. But the biggest test any shoe could have is surviving the cold, damp streets of Edinburgh. It has been soaked, covered in snow, covered in sand, cleaned up and polished a hundred times. I have taken it off on occasion, over the years, but it’s still my favourite shoe. Shoes done properly!
