I photographed noctilucent clouds, for the first time.
Dunbar - Scotland

Noctilucent clouds, or night shining clouds, are tenuous cloud-like phenomena in the upper atmosphere of Earth. They consist of ice crystals and are only visible during astronomical twilight. Noctilucent roughly means "night shining" in Latin. They are most often observed during the summer months from latitudes between ±50° and ±70°. They are visible only during local summer months and when the Sun is below the observer's horizon, but while these very high clouds are still in sunlight.
They are the highest clouds in Earth's atmosphere, located in the mesosphere at altitudes of around 76 to 85 km (249,000 to 279,000 ft). They are too faint to be seen in daylight, and are visible only when illuminated by sunlight from below the horizon while the lower layers of the atmosphere are in Earth's shadow.

🇵🇹 Barns Ness Lighthouse - Dunbar
Scotland
levou-me certa de 6 anos para chegar até aqui, à forma mais correcta de fazer um bonito arrastos de estrelas.
Considero esta a minha foto de natal, onde captei a estrela do norte, a estrela polar.
Feliz Natal a todos

it took me about 6 years to get here, to the most correct way to do a beautiful star trails.
I consider this my Christmas picture, where I captured the northern star, the polar star.
Merry Christmas to all

🇬🇧 Newhaven Lighthouse - Edinburgh, overlooking Pier Place & Starbank Road.
It has been a long time since I dedicated myself to this type of photography (landscape & seascape),
because I have been more focused on learning and the whole process of astrophotography and timelapse.
Of course, this evening resulted in a small timelapse that I will show you soon.
Thanks to my partner Monika for the support and understanding.

Photographed near Corrour - Scotland,
I drove around 3 hours to this beautiful and peaceful area free from light pollution (Bortle 1).
The darkest area I've ever photographed so far.
What a great night and great weather,
not bad for Scotland and November.
My first star trails done this way (242 stacked frames)

Thank you Monika for the support and understanding

My third and best time-lapse done with a DSLR
near Corrour - Scotland,
an area free from light pollution (Bortle 1).
The darkest area I've ever photographed so far.
What a great night and great weather,
not bad for Scotland and November
