Well hi there...

It felt about time to show my big bald head on here and properly introduce myself.

I'm Calum Huntington and I'm a photographer, videographer & content designer based out of Edinburgh. Specialising and experimenting in Lifestyle, Commercial alongside Sporting projects has meant I've met such a diverse mix of people and experiences I never would have thought possible otherwise.

After tinkering with photography on and off for a few years, I fully committed in May this year to take the plunge and go Pro and have never looked back!

So to all those that take the time out of your day to check out my work and show love and support, I can't thank you enough!

There's no place like home...

It'd been far too long since I've been back to the West Coast, so made a quick trip last week. I couldn't have gotten more lucky with the weather. The Sun was shinning and the midges kept at bay.

Welcome to the 1st Edition to my new 10,000 Hours Project. Aiming to capture and share the story of experts/professionals in their field.

A little while back as the cricket season was just getting started, I reached out to about getting a bat made. That resulted in one of the most interesting experiences to date.

Matt who has been making bats for over 30 years and head bat maker at Hunts showed me behind the scenes and explained the whole process of taking a raw piece of English Willow and refining it down to a primed and match ready bat.

It was clear how stay true to traditional bat making with world class expertise but without all the fuss. Focusing their efforts on quality over quantity.

It was a pleasure to see Matt at work and learn about the bat making journey.
