I had an impromptu trip up north with my wife this week, looked out my camera and blew the dust off it as it has hardly been used in months. 🤣

First stop off was at Loch Earn for a wander and a few photos.

I was out with Edinburgh HD the other night trying to get some images of the poppy fields at sunset. My hay fever was killing me though. 🤧

One from the archives, I've not left Edinburgh for some time due to all the various lockdown restrictions but looks like I will be able to go a bit further afield soon enough.

Calton Hill was super busy last night with everyone wanting to see the rainbow lights over the city.

I bumped into my friend at Edinburgh HD so was good to have a brief catch up in the super windy and at times rainy conditions last night.

For those who know me well I love cinema and movies, the teal / orange look of night scenes is something I find really appealing. I cropped this to 16:9 to make it look more like a still from a movie.

Decided to pop out last night to get a few images of Edinburgh before things start opening back up and the normal hustle and bustle commences.

It is so quiet in town with everything still being shut still.

I missed sunset last night which was one of the best I have seen in months. Grabbed my Hasselblad 503cx and tried to go somewhere locally to catch the blue hour.

Shot on Cinestill Film 800T Film, exposed at ISO 500 and white balance correction in post (it was VERY blue). Loving the tones in the sky, definitely need to experiment more with this type of film. 😀

It looks like I will be able to travel a bit further afield at the end of April, decided to look back through some of my old images (this one is almost 7 years old) and re-edit a few. 😀

Hopefully get a few road trips organised with Studio 2 Photography once things get back to normal.

Classic (cliché?) shot of Edinburgh. I still love this spot and depending on the time of the year it can look quite spectacular.

Taken a few weeks back when we had loads of snow in Edinburgh. I bumped into my good friend Edinburgh HD when I was wandering around getting my daily exercise.

The snow is starting to melt in Edinburgh and we are left with slush on the roads and compressed ice on the pavements. Looking forward to us getting more snow but probably be waiting another year.

I bumped into Edinburgh HD when I was out for some exercise walking around Calton Hill.

I took these on my iPhone 12 Pro at the end of 2020 when we got some snow in Edinburgh. I won't be able to get further afield for the time being but will still try and get some images closer to home as part of my daily exercise during lockdown.
