In the last five years, we’ve grown as a charity and expanded opportunities for young people across the UK. We’ve seen record-breaking Award starts and over 21 million hours of volunteering have been given by young people – equal to £130 million 🎉

Over the past year, we’ve listened closely to volunteers, staff, partners – and most importantly, young people – to help shape our next strategy.

By 2031, we’re aiming to give two million young people the chance to do their DofE and build confidence, resilience and essential skills for life and work.

There’s just one week left to make sure you’re registered to vote in the upcoming Scottish Parliament election on Thursday 7 May.

🗓️ Registration deadline:
🕛 11:59pm on Monday 20 April

✅ How to register to vote
Registering is quick and easy:
1️⃣ Go to gov.uk/register-to-vote
2️⃣ Enter your details (name, address and date of birth)
3️⃣ Have your National Insurance number ready (you can still apply if you don’t have it)

⏱️ It takes around 5 minutes to complete online.

You need to register if:
This is your first time voting
You’ve moved address
You’ve changed your name or nationality

Don’t leave it too late - register now to make sure you’re ready.

We’re recruiting an Operations Manager for East/Central Scotland, a key role leading and supporting a team of Operations Officers who deliver and develop the DofE across communities in Scotland.

You’ll coach, guide and empower your team as they work with schools, colleges, charities, youth groups and more—building strong partnerships and expanding opportunities for young people, especially those facing barriers to participation.
You’ll join a small, dynamic and ambitious team who believe in the transformative power of youth work and the strength of community partnerships.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day, a day dedicated to increasing understanding, acceptance, and meaningful inclusion for autistic people across the world.
This year’s theme, “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value”, reminds us that autistic individuals deserve dignity, respect, and equal opportunities in every part of life, from education and employment to community spaces.
Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that affects how people communicate, interact, and experience the world. There is no single autism experience, every autistic person brings unique strengths, perspectives, and talents that enrich our communities.
