Join me on a Saturday morning walk at the local farmers market.

Leith Market is a bustling farmers market right beside the Water of Leith in Edinburgh. There are lots of friendly people and a big selection of local food and produce, creative crafts, street food, and original art. It is open every Saturday between 10am and 4pm. A great place to spend your Saturday morning while in Leith and support local businesses.

Rua de Santa Maria in Funchal, Madeira, is one of oldest and most colourful streets in the city center. It has became one of Funchal’s most popular tourist attractions after the local council came up with an initiative to revamp the area. In 2014 the “Art of Open Doors” project was started. The street was turned into a public art space and local artists were invited to decorate over two hundred of the street’s doors. Today, there are around 200 painted doors in Rua de Santa Maria and the surrounding streets.
