UXO VIsitor Centre in Luang Prabang.

The United States of America dropped 7.5m tonnes of explosives during the Vietnam War on Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam. The objective was regime change to stop communism.

They lost.

Laos and Vietnam are communist countries to this day and in Cambodia the US bombing campaign led to the genocide by Pol Pots Khmer Rouge in 1975.

One third of those bombs are estimated not to have exploded and today are still killing innocent civilians.

We really should learn from history shouldn’t we..?
