When bookings are slow, it's easy to assume the property is the problem.

But often, it's the first impression that's letting it down.

Your guests haven't experienced your space yet - they're making a decision based entirely on what they see online.

If the photos don't capture the atmosphere, warmth and character of your property, it's much harder for people to picture themselves staying there.

Sometimes the biggest change isn't lowering your price. It's showing your property in a way that reflects how special it really is.

DM me "BOOKINGS" if you'd like to chat about your property's imagery.

There’s something special about capturing places that instantly make you want to book a stay. 🤍

I had the pleasure of photographing and filming the beautiful Springfield Farm Holiday Pods, showcasing everything that makes them such a perfect countryside escape.

From the peaceful surroundings and cosy interiors to the private hot tubs and BBQ evenings, every detail was captured to help future guests experience the feeling before they even arrive.

Just 40 minutes from Edinburgh, it’s the ideal place to switch off, recharge and enjoy a slower pace of life.

Which feature would tempt you to book first?

People rarely book a holiday let because they love the chair, the bath or the kitchen.

They book because they can picture themselves there.

Coffee by the window. A long soak after a day exploring. Wine open, music playing and everyone still around the table far later than planned.

That’s what good property photography should do.

Not just show the rooms, but help someone imagine the stay.

DM me “BOOKINGS” if your property deserves to be shown in a way that feels as good as it does in real life.

One of the biggest advantages of staying somewhere in Scotland is everything that surrounds it.

The coastline. The mountains. The woodland. The views that make you stop for a minute.
Sometimes it's impossible to show that from the ground.

Drone footage gives guests the bigger picture. It helps them understand not just where they'll be staying, but why they'll want to stay there in the first place.

For some properties, that extra perspective can make all the difference.

Getting plenty of views but very few bookings can be so frustrating.

Especially when you know the property itself is beautiful.

Often, the problem isn’t the space. It’s that the photos are showing the rooms without showing what it would actually feel like to stay there.

That’s where the difference is made.
One listing feels memorable. The other simply feels available.

If you’re tired of competing on price when your property deserves to stand out for its design, I’d love to hear from you.

Just sharing this fun little video I captured back in April with one of my favourite clients, Springfield Farm Holiday Pods. 🤍

Watching guests genuinely enjoy a space they’ve chosen for a getaway is exactly why I love photographing hospitality properties.

It’s never just about capturing beautiful rooms (although that’s important too). It’s about showing the feeling of staying there. The slow mornings, the fresh air, the little moments of joy that make someone think, “I want to book that.”

That’s what great hospitality photography should do. It should help future guests imagine themselves there before they’ve even packed a bag.

The guest experience starts long before check-in… and your photography plays a huge part in that.

There are so many incredible places to stay across Scotland, but not all of them are getting the attention they deserve.

I've seen beautiful holiday homes with amazing interiors, stunning locations and thoughtful details that simply aren't coming across online.
The property isn't the problem. It's the first impression.

Good photography doesn't just show people where they'll sleep. It gives them a glimpse of how it'll feel to stay there and that's often what turns a scroll into a booking.

If your property deserves to be seen at its best, I'd love to help.

People decide what your property is worth before they even look at the price.

It happens in seconds.

The photos are dark. The lighting feels flat. The space looks smaller than it is... and suddenly the whole property feels less valuable, even if it's anything but.

Great photography isn't about making a place look different. It's about showing it as it really is, so the right guests can see its value from the very first glance.

If your property deserves better than that first impression, I'd love to help.

One of the biggest compliments you can receive is, "It's even nicer in real life."

But as a property owner, it can also be a sign that your photos aren't showing your space at its full potential.

Your guests make their first impression long before they arrive. If your imagery doesn't capture the atmosphere, warmth and experience of staying there, they may never get as far as clicking 'book'.

The aim isn't to exceed expectations because of better rooms - it's to make sure your online presence reflects just how special your property already is.

Imagine this…

Just 40 minutes from Edinburgh, you’re unwinding in a private hot tub, dinner’s on the BBQ, and the only thing on your to-do list is soaking up the views.

That’s the beauty of Springfield Farm Holiday Pods. The perfect place to slow down, switch off and make the most of summer.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a weekend with friends or a peaceful countryside escape, this is your sign to book that break you’ve been thinking about.

Ready to make this your summer?
