Melanie and Stewart Rosie 04/05/24
My latest wedding of Melanie and Stewart took me to the Kingsnowe Golf Club, just a stone's throw away from home. With a lovely building inside and out, and nice open greens on the golf course, I knew there were plenty of good opportunities for some nice wedding snaps despite the dull, gray clouds above threatening rain.
When I arrived, everyone including the groom Stewart looked relatively calm and relaxed (on the surface, Stewart looked calm, but I know inside, he probably wasn't). It wasn't long at all before the bride arrived, and then it was all go.
Melanie arrived accompanied by her mom in classic bridal fashion (as all brides should), being driven in a beautiful classic motor and having a Piper play during her big arrival. Thankfully, the driver managed to hold back until later to allow photos to be taken in and around the car.
After the ceremony, it was time to grab some photos with the newlywed couple, along with group and family shots out on the 18th hole. Luckily, the course was quiet enough to allow me to get all the guests out on the course for one big shot from the upstairs balcony (after running around the club looking for a key to eventually open the door to get to the balcony π
). From then on, it was on to speeches, then the cake cutting, and the big first dance, which is always a favorite of mine to capture during the day.
Once again, I want to thank Mel and Stewart for having me there to be your wedding photographer. Being there with you both and your awesome family and friends reminded me why I love doing what I do and has given me the motivation to keep growing my small but slowly growing list of weddings.
All the best for the future,
Glenn X
