Cracking day out in Glen Etive.. My first visit there in 3 years and it was just as special as I remembered it!..

The weather definitely played its part with the mist fog and drizzle rolling in off the hills giving a wintery feel and the eerie wind whistling through the valley..

Can't wait to go back the water was perfect and just what the doctor ordered!

So after a wee Hiatus due to other work and life commitments I was able to get out and get some reasonable snaps last weekend.

Huge thank you to MX Medical for allowing me to combine my photography with my medical event cover shifts.

Taking these snaps was fun yet tricky given how fast the bikes were flying past me 🤣 but it was a great test!

The unique opportunity to photography the events from some up close locations while providing first class expert medical cover as part of a cracking team provided me with a weekend I thoroughly enjoyed!.

Scottish Motocross

Had a half decent day with the camera today.. 3 different locations and about 400 odd miles..

Dunnottar Castle
Ruthven Barracks
Lone Tree of Loch Lomond

The first two stops were great however I would have loved a drone at Dunnottar as it would give a cracking perspective from above.

The 3rd stop for the Long Tree was an epic fail.. 40min detour due to the cycling event in Stirling to find the Tree was not submerged in the water as I had anticipated however I had to snap the picture for posterity 🤣..

Just means I have to return another day!

A work trip to Eilean Donan Castle today however due to a full car park and the weather ment I couldn't afford to park the van on the verge of the main road and spend the necessary time to get some good shots..

However it did allow me to use the abysmal weather to my advantage on the way home stopping at the Commando Memorial near Spean Bridge and snapping a couple of moody shots of the magnificent memorial.

Finally managed to combine to passions (and jobs) today as I was at MX Fenton first and foremost as a medic but could not resist a couple of cheeky snaps as the guys blasted round the track!

Some good sessions and everyone was home safe with is the main thing!

So juggling jobs can be difficult at times and can mean long hours too.. but I know its not for ever and when your striving to meet your goals you know its worth it..

I was up at 0230 Friday past for a job and luckily it took me to an incredible part of Scotland that I had not been to in a long time..

Again I didn't have much time but I'm thankful for the time I had as I was able to capture these shots and looking back on them makes it all worth it in the end!

Don't be afraid to chase your dreams!

Apologies for being a bit quiet on here recently but rest assured I have been working diligently in the background (the mundane stuff that needs to be done) and can confirm a good friend is researching the best format of website to use and not only that it will be straightforward and easy to navigate which is a huge bonus!..

My other work allowed me to tick off a big bucket list item last night and that was driving through the Torridon National Park.. as a native I am ashamed to admit the fleeting visit was my first to the region and I can assure you it won't be my last!..

I will definitely be back and better prepared for it's stunning beauty.. which I tried my best to capture!

I have another wee plan/road trip up my sleeve coming soon as I want to photograph some of Scotlands finest castles!..

If you have a castle in mind I should check out please let me know!

Lastly I appreciate all your support and patience as my photography takes shape and it is not lost on me that without you guys and girls I'd be nowhere!.

2 weeks ago I was invited to a birthday bash down in Newcastle..

Managed to get one picture on the night out and then a few while having a head clearing walk along Tynemouth beach 🤣.

Morning all,

Apologies for being quiet here the last couple of weeks however my other job has had me pretty busy somewhat so haven't had much time to take as many photos as I'd have liked.

I've added some photos taken over the last couple of days in the Scottish Borders and the A9 Road to Inverness while on my travels.

I won't tell you how close I was to being run over or how long I had to wait to get a particular shot..(I'll let you decide what one that was 🤣)

On the plus side I am researching the idea of having a website set up and designed which is something I'm really keen to do and I will keep you updated with the progress.
